Council considered an annual request to contribute $2,000 toward operation and maintenance of retention dams in Morgan County. A representative explained the town historically contributed to the effort and that the funds support inspection and maintenance of around eight retention dams in the county. "The motion to approve the request invoice request for $2,000 contribution towards the repair and maintenance of the dam system in Morgan County," the mover stated, and the council approved the motion by voice vote.
The agreement will be signed by the mayor and attested as required, and the council instructed the clerk to locate the original document for signature. The contribution continues an existing regional arrangement the town has participated in for flood-control operations.
