Staff also noted the project’s federal earmark, filed in 2020, has required at least one extension and that another extension may be necessary depending on construction timing. "We have already worked on the redesign… knowing the log pond with the geotech report and what we've learned so far with the environmental phase 1 and phase 2," staff said; they added consultants will work through environmental details and the matter may move up the governor's office as needed. Staff indicated more information will be available after consultant meetings.
