During the ceremonial swearing-in, Wright repeated the oath led by city staff and council members gathered near the dais. "I, Kenneth Wright, do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of The United States... and faithfully discharge the duties of assistant chief of police," Wright said as part of the oath.
