Opportunity Consulting presented the draft 2026–2030 strategic plan and summarized stakeholder findings: the creative ecosystem is strained by affordability and capacity challenges; CAH is perceived primarily as a grantmaker but stakeholders want broader capacity-building and convening roles; and staff should leverage data more effectively. The consultants proposed four core goals—awareness, impact, leadership and excellence—supported by guiding principles and key performance indicators.
Consultant Lindsey Brown said the commission will enter a 10‑day public comment window after the meeting, including an in-person session, a virtual session, an anonymous comment form and an email contact for deeper engagement. Brown and commissioner Julianne Brienza stressed the importance of measurable outcomes and realistic implementation benchmarks. The commission intends to review a final draft at an executive session on Aug. 12 and consider formal adoption at the public meeting on Aug. 17.
Commissioners were encouraged to provide feedback and staff said the draft and supporting materials will be posted on the CAH website for public review. The plan's proposed strategies and implementation activities will remain available for comment and will accompany the final draft when the commission votes.
