The board approved the consent agenda, which included the Oct. 16, 2024 minutes, monthly expenditures, financial and SBAA reports and several personnel actions. Resignations recorded were Mariah Haye (FES preschool para), Taylor Alvey (FMS para) and Josie Oliver (DO data specialist); hires included Hayley Callen (FMS para), Ivan Smith (FHS bowling coach), Buck Taylor (FHS softball coach), Trevor Thomas (FHS assistant wrestling coach) and the rehire of Josie Oliver as an FES preschool para. Trustee Joe Maloney moved to approve the consent agenda, Trustee Tammy Kelly seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
In the Superintendent’s report, Dana Robertson updated the board on the Filer School Foundation: a raffle generated $2,800; Ag West provided a grant to the outdoor skills class to purchase six bikes and helmets; and a grant paid for t-shirts for all students at FMS. The foundation is continuing fundraising to support future grants and programs.
