The Sweet Home City Council voted unanimously to adopt a proposed donor naming-rights policy for the Sweet Home public library.
Library Director Macy presented the policy to guide how the city recognizes donors—"We've received several large and small donations in the last several years," Macy said—explaining the advisory board and the city attorney reviewed the proposal and that staff sees no direct financial impact tied to adopting the policy. The policy is intended to establish consistent recognition if the city moves forward with a new or relocated library building.
Council moved and seconded adoption of Resolution 1 (2026); Cicely called the roll and the record shows seven yeses, no nays. Mayor Coleman thanked the director for getting ready for fundraising work connected to the library's future plans.
