The director said definitional updates are nearly complete but that administrative, enforcement, permit-fee and board of zoning appeals sections will require more substantial rewriting.
The director flagged Article 7 as the largest remaining piece ("about the article 7 is gonna it's 90 plus pages") because it consolidates accessories, special exceptions, and temporary and contingent uses. Staff said construction standards will reference existing city and county standards and that a reserved section will be added for a formal development-plan review process the county has not used previously. Commissioners agreed the updated draft could be formatted and circulated by the end of the year, with data-center-specific language set aside until steering-committee work advances.
