The council confirmed two local appointments and approved several administrative contracts and leases during the Aug. 4 meeting.
Ekaterina (Kat) Glenn was appointed to the Heritage Commission and Dr. Geraldine Robbins was appointed to the Planning & Zoning Board; both motions passed unanimously. The council also approved a contract related to a Gatorland Ski attraction for the fall festival, sponsored by Amvets, and approved a two-year office lease at 205 SW Magnolia Ave for $650 per month with clarifications about who will pay sewer and water charges.
Motions on these items were passed by unanimous vote. The council asked staff to correct a minor grammar issue in minutes and to follow up on lease payment clarifications after the meeting.
