Council adopts updated Community Redevelopment Area plan

The Keystone Heights City Council unanimously adopted an updated Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) plan on Aug. 4 after Interim City Manager James Booth presented the document.
Booth outlined the plan’s priorities as streetscape improvements, park upgrades, economic development initiatives and infrastructure work. Council discussion included efforts to eliminate prior audit findings related to carryforward funds. There were no public comments on the item, and Councilman Dan Lewandowski moved to adopt the updated CRA plan; Councilman Ryan Knight seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The updated CRA plan was presented as part of the city’s efforts to guide local investment and infrastructure in redeveloping areas; staff did not identify immediate budget allocations at the meeting, and implementation steps were left to subsequent staff planning.
