Council accepts notice of completion for Lighthouse Cove restroom remodel; phases 2–3 planned

Staff presented photos and a completion report for Phase 1 of the Lighthouse Cove restroom remodel and described ADA improvements, new partitions and shower units. The project presenter noted change-order work (ceiling/drain repairs, extended ramps) and credited RH Construction and project staff. "If you look at total projected costs...the budget based on how we're projecting change orders and the restroom rentals was $2.79," the presenter said, adding that actual costs came in below that projection and the facility opened before July 4.
Council approved and authorized the city manager to sign and file a notice of completion for Contract No. 2026-1075. Staff also described plans for Phase 2 (88 cabins expected in September; roughly $400,000 estimate for that phase) and Phase 3 (upstairs apartments to follow once engineering designs are complete and bids are received in late July/early August).
