CPH architect Brandan DeCaro presented the 100% construction documents for the Key Colony Beach City Hall addition and renovation during the City Commission’s Aug. 18 special meeting at Marble Hall. DeCaro outlined changes carried forward from the 90% drawings—landscaping and irrigation updates, Bahama shutters, landscape lighting, a card access system, a new flagpole and provisions for after‑hours building access—and described electrical conduits installed for multiple purposes.
DeCaro also clarified items that are not included in the general contractor’s scope: a tankless water heater, painting of exposed ducts and pavers around the patios. He reviewed the updated staging plan showing the construction fence location, landscape and irrigation plans, and confirmed no significant changes to the interior floor plans. DeCaro said the team expects to issue the bid package in about two weeks and reminded the commission of grant reimbursement deadlines tied to the project schedule. Vice‑Mayor Doug Colonell thanked CPH for its work and emphasized necessary preemptive site preparations.
