Council renews advocacy contract; staff credits firm with helping secure KDOT project award

Staff described the firm’s role since 2018, noting it helped coordinate meetings with state officials and organized events such as ‘‘Lindsborg Day at the Capitol’’ and 8th Grade Day at the Capitol. City staff reported that a firm connection led KDOT to take notice of Lindsborg’s K-4 Grade Separation project; staff said the project was awarded in March 2024 at a value of over $8 million. Councilmember Rebecca Van Der Wege moved to approve the 2025 agreement; the motion passed 7-0 by roll call vote.
The agreement continues a monthly retainer arrangement with the vendor and maintains staff access to advocacy and scheduling services for state-level engagement.
