At the July 21 meeting, two members of the public addressed the Board during the public-comment period. Susan Letheby, representing the Eastborough Swimming Pool Association, thanked the County for supporting neighborhood recreation facilities and "asked for clarification on the County’s Visitor Improvement Grant guidelines." Chair Yoakum advised submitting questions by email so staff could provide follow-up.
Resident Isaac Robinson asked the Board for greater transparency after observing heavy traffic and deterioration of local gravel roads he attributed to multiple energy and infrastructure projects. Robinson "requested greater transparency on traffic studies, road maintenance funding, and reimbursement agreements for major development projects," and said departments faced budget constraints for maintenance. His remarks asked the Board to clarify who bears road-repair costs when development increases heavy traffic.
Chair Yoakum noted the public-comment period is for comments and directed staff follow-up by email for operational questions; no formal action was taken during the meeting.
