Board adopts regionalization resolution and amends field trip cost

The Franklin Borough Board of Education approved a regionalization resolution (Attachment #3) at the May 18 meeting after second reading/adoption of updated bylaws and policies. The motion to approve the regionalization resolution was included in the Education Committee items and carried by roll call vote.
In related Education Committee business the board amended the previously approved Grade 2 field trip to Tamerlaine Farm Animal Sanctuary (141 Clove Road, Montague, NJ) for May 14, 2026 (rain date May 29, 2026) to a cost of $867 plus transportation. The addendum also authorized use of US Bus Charter & Limo for a New York City field trip on May 27, 2026 at a cost not to exceed $4,631.
