The Box Elder Finance, Legal and Public Safety Committee voted Jan. 7 to forward a special events permit extension for the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 “chamber mixers” to the City Council with a recommendation of approval.
“March 25, April 29, May 27, June 24, July 29, August 26, September 30, October 28, and 11/25/2025,” Marco Laughlin, business license and development specialist, read when describing the event schedule, and told the committee that the permit is an extension of a previously approved permit. “Staff recommends approval,” he said.
Committee members moved, seconded and voted to approve the recommendation and forward the permit to a future council meeting. There was no substantive discussion or public comment recorded on the item.
The forwarded permit will allow the Chamber to hold monthly mixers on the listed dates; next steps are review and final action by the City Council at a subsequent meeting.
