At the Sept. 11 meeting Kelly Dotson, the district K–12 TAG coordinator, summarized summer enrichment and recovery programs. Middle‑school STEAM activities ran six weeks with about 20 participants who took field trips (Oregon Dunes, Honeyman State Park) and engaged in technology, engineering, art and music activities. The high‑school summer school used Acelis for credit recovery, ran Monday–Thursday and enrolled 14 students who completed 17 course units, totaling about 8.5 credits recovered.
"This program ran for Monday through Thursday from 08:30 until 12:15... We had 14 students participate. 17 courses were completed," Dotson reported, noting the program's aim to keep students on track for graduation. Board members praised the staff effort and the program's outcomes and asked no follow‑up questions.
