Following the policy discussion on data centers and a proposed Heavy Industrial zoning district, council directed staff to refine Draft 5 of the UDO amendments and prepare the document for public review. Specific edits requested include clarifying setback measurement methods, defining environmental buffers, establishing noise-monitoring and reporting standards, and setting inspection and fee structures.
Council also directed staff to coordinate the public-hearing process and related ordinance readings and to manage any moratorium-extension actions needed to maintain regulatory clarity while draft language is finalized. Staff will return with the revised draft and a recommended public-notice schedule.
