Mayor Jake Ayers and the Hogansville City Council reviewed the proposed FY 2026–2027 budget at a Called Work Session on June 8, 2026. The discussion identified projected revenue growth tied to development, proposed employee compensation adjustments, new staffing requests and several infrastructure needs. The session was called to order at 5:37 p.m. and adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
Council members asked staff for additional information on organizational-structure options for the City Clerk and Human Resources functions, job descriptions for administrative positions, capital-equipment replacements, Public Works facility improvements, and cost options for sanitation services. Council also requested a software implementation plan and more detail on Royal Theater marketing expenditures. No formal votes were taken; staff were directed to return the requested materials for future consideration.
