The council approved a revised audit engagement letter with Casey Peterson LTD for fiscal year 2024 that adds single-audit language after Interim Finance Officer Renee Baker said the city received more than $4,750,000 in federal funding.
Baker said the engagement had been signed earlier but needed the single-audit language added once the federal-funding threshold was exceeded. "We signed that before we realized the need for the single audit, for our federal funding as we received more than $4,750,000," Baker said. Council moved to approve the revised engagement letter, authorized the mayor to sign the associated documents, and recorded a unanimous roll-call vote.
Staff will proceed with the audit engagement under the revised terms.
