The mayor told residents the city's public review draft of the unified development ordinance and updated zoning map is now available online and that every household is receiving a postcard directing them to the materials.
"This document consolidates our zoning, subdivision and related development regulations into a single modernized ordinance," the mayor said, describing the draft as grounded in the Ridgeville Ready Master Plan. The mayor encouraged residents to review the full text, proposed zoning map and FAQs on the city website and to provide input via the feedback form or at drop-in sessions. Planning commission review and formal public hearings will precede any council action.
Councilmember Winkle reiterated the request for public participation and said the planning commission will meet again to continue its review. The council asked residents to reach out to planning commissioners or city staff with questions as the update moves through the review process.
