Altamont sets Jan. 9 public hearing for buildings damaged in downtown fire

The resolution for the public hearing was sent for publication as required, and staff indicated continuing follow-up.
The administrator's report also recorded an "estimated loss for the fire at 65,000 gallons." The minutes show the city evaluated demolition options for the old fire department building and solicited a demolition bid from B3 Construction; staff continue to pursue bids for repairs and next steps related to the downtown fire properties.
