City Clerk Heather Beasley submitted a letter of resignation effective Dec. 6, 2024, which the council accepted at the Nov. 26 meeting. Mayor Richard Hayward thanked Beasley for her work and the progress noted during her tenure. Councilmember Lyle Sykes moved and Tyler Julich seconded to accept the resignation; the motion carried.
City Administrator LeaAnn Myers said staff will work with Beasley to tie up loose ends before her departure; the minutes list office-closure dates for Thanksgiving and note the office will reopen regular hours Dec. 2 as part of transition planning.
