City Clerk Heather Beasley relayed community event information: the 11th Annual Boo Bash will be Sunday, Oct. 27 on the west lawn of LCHS from 3–5 PM; the 4th Annual Chasing Daylight UTV Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4 with registration from 10 AM–12 PM at McMillen Park. The minutes also note a $5 BBQ lunch fundraiser at 'the 20 acres' during the Poker Run to raise funds for the Veterans Memorial.
Beasley additionally reminded residents that Labette County is under a burn ban and urged caution and adherence to guidelines. The announcements were part of the communications section of the agenda and were recorded as notices to the public.
