City Clerk Heather Beasley earlier presented a proposal to apply for the K‑State Entrepreneurial Blueprint Initiative Grant to establish a business incubator for local entrepreneurs.
The council took no action on the application because the Oct. 1 deadline was only four days away and staff did not have time to obtain contractor bids and other materials needed for a complete application. The council directed staff to return if an extension or additional information becomes available or for future grant opportunities.
