Lt. Christian Powell reported animal-control calls, civil standby/child exchange assignments, lake patrols and other citizen assists. Officers issued six warnings (five for speed and one for an equipment violation) and four citations for speed. KBI reports included one battery and one theft; officers assisted EMS on several medical calls.
Public works reported road patching, hauling asphalt millings to the industrial park, installing a 2-inch water meter at the high school, replacing an electric pole on 5th Street, repairing a hydraulic leak on the new trash truck and preparing concrete spots for park benches at the lake. Brad Myers submitted the utility report as documented in the minutes.
