The Altamont City Council scheduled a public work session on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Altamont Park Building to discuss Idle Hour Lake and the possibility of annexing adjacent property. The session is intended as a focused forum for staff, county zoning representatives and the council to review maps and next steps.
City Administrator LeaAnn Myers later noted Labette County zoning administrator Mel Hass had provided 3-mile zoning buffer maps for the city and Idle Hour Lake that will inform the discussion at the Sept. 9 work session.
