Riley Bradfield introduced himself as a new member of the Altamont Utility Department; he said he has worked in construction and mechanics most of his life, graduated from LCHS and lives in Mound Valley.
Utility work reported to the council included cutting trees from roadways and primary electric lines, replacing a library light, completing a KCC gas audit, patching roads after meter replacements and setting an electric pole for a new garage. Twin Valley completed electric work for an auxiliary gym at USD 506. Staff said they are integrating AMI water meters with municipal software and setting up customer portals for daily water-usage viewing. Report submitted by Brad Myers.
On asset disposition, Brad reported the old red utility truck is cleaned up and ready to be sold. The council decided to attempt sale through Purple Wave and, if unsold, to accept sealed bids for purchase.
