Staff reports new businesses and confirms move to Tuesday meetings, 7 p.m.

At the close of the agenda staff reported local business openings and a schedule change for 2025. Michelle Clavnat told commissioners that O'Reilly's Auto Parts opened on Dec. 21 and that a Dollar General on Raider Hill Road is anticipated to open in early 2025. Staff also noted City Hall will be closed on New Year's Day and that agenda items are already submitted for the January meetings.

Commissioners asked for practical support items: a printed meeting schedule (which was provided) and an emailed copy of the meeting schedule and meeting packet. Commissioner Erwin asked whether the February switch to Tuesday meetings will retain a 7 p.m. start time; staff confirmed the meetings will still begin at 7 p.m. and members requested contact information for council members and planning staff to facilitate communication between meetings.
