Committee approves moving forward with Avid 4 for North Ellsworth Road design

Scott Lang, city engineer, told the committee the city solicited RFPs for design of the North Ellsworth Road intersections and received six responses. "We held interviews with HDR and Avid 4," Lang said, and staff "selected Avid 4 as the best option for us," adding the scope was expanded to include additional drainage analysis to support funding requests planned for May.
The committee moved and approved a professional services agreement with Avid 4 for design services, recording an amount not to exceed $524,630, and forwarded the item to the city council with a recommendation of approval. Lang said the additional analysis was timed so the city could pursue funding in May.
