The Deerwood City Council on May 11 adopted assessments for the 2026 Street Project, approving Resolution 2026‑17 by unanimous vote. Member Aulie moved the measure and Member Ingersoll seconded; Mayor Millsop and Members Aulie, Ingersoll and Voller voted aye.
City Engineer Alex Voit (SEH) told the council that geotechnical testing showed the streets require full‑depth reclamation (FDR) rather than a mill‑and‑overlay. "The geological testing came back as it needed the FDR rather than the Mill and Overlay," Voit said. During the public hearing residents asked whether water and sewer lines would need replacement within the assessment period; the Public Works Foreman responded that "the water and sewer lines will be good for another 40 to 50 years." The council set a special follow‑up meeting for June 1 to continue project coordination.
