Committee members asked how the county will measure success for SBSS solicitations and whether FY26 and FY27 timelines were set. County executive staff said they will use standardized engagement surveys and the business center CRM to track participating businesses and collect qualitative feedback on whether services were worth participants' time.
"We wanna get engaged with everybody who provides this service for us...to have a standard survey so that businesses who are engaged are telling us and telling them was this worth my time? Did I learn something?" the administration representative said, describing an approach to combine qualitative survey data with CRM tracking.
When asked about timing, staff said they expect to return to the committee in the fall to present FY27 criteria for noncompetitive awards. Staff also confirmed that FY26 contracts have been signed and that the FY26 funding numbers shown in the packet are solid even as invoices continue to be processed.
