The McLeod County Board approved the 2026–27 collective bargaining agreement with the Minnesota Public Employees Association after receiving an update from Hannah in Employee Relations. Hannah said the negotiations committee, which included two board members, had worked through 2026–27 bargaining since last spring and that "we're getting really close to the end of seeing these at board meetings for now." She told the board eight of nine agreements have been approved and staff were finalizing the remaining contract language.
A commissioner asked for confirmation that board members participated on the negotiations committee; Hannah confirmed that two commissioners serve on the committee and that the contract had gone through the recommended process. The board approved the agreement on a voice vote.
