Toledo planning commissioners hear Parks & Recreation Master Plan briefing despite no quorum

I’m working on the Parks and Recreation Master Plan,” he told commissioners and described survey findings that emphasized maintenance, lighting and additional amenities.
The presentation summarized systemwide priorities: consistent park signage and wayfinding, restroom access and quality, prioritized maintenance before new facilities, expanded walking trails and improved ADA accessibility. Justin said some projects depend on coordination with partners such as the school district and the port, noting that waterfront projects are limited because the port runs the waterfront park. Commissioners asked questions about which parks should receive restrooms, how restrooms would be secured, and how to prioritize upgrades. Justin said the plan will include inventory, funding ideas and a draft schedule and recommended further public outreach before final recommendations.
