Ken Bygler told commissioners he expects to provide a preliminary construction schedule within a couple of weeks after contract execution and estimated the on‑site duration could be about nine months.
Commissioners and the contractor discussed staging plans, material storage at the front of the building, delivery lead times and the need to protect Marble Hall systems — electric, HVAC and lighting — during construction. Mayor Freddie Foster noted scheduled city events, including a weekly Farmer’s Market and vendor setups, and cautioned about the Post Office truck’s access to the parking lot. The group discussed stacking meetings and providing priority meeting dates to reduce disruptions to city operations.
Ken Bygler said he would follow up with a staging plan and confirmed cleanup responsibilities and scheduling software/tracking could be used to manage deliveries and subcontractor sequencing.
