A proposal to straighten Woods Drive at its intersection with Reserve Lane drew pushback from residents at the June 30 special meeting. Residents suggested alternatives to the straightened alignment, including retaining a "fishhook" curve to naturally slow traffic or installing a roundabout to control speeds. The concern about potential speeding was recorded by staff during the public-input portion of the presentation; no formal traffic-calming design or traffic study was presented at the meeting.
Township Engineer Jonathan Robinson and HRG staff heard the feedback and noted that designs will be refined in future public meetings. No formal motion, vote or commitment to a specific traffic-calming measure was taken during the special meeting.
