David Sadler, director of information technology for Caroline County, gave the county’s broadband update on July 20, 2026, reporting substantial build progress and a staged sales launch across multiple zones. "Well over 2,400 homes now have service available to them," Sadler said, adding that more than 203 miles of fiber have been completed.
Sadler said areas 1 through 19 are open for sale and that several additional zones are scheduled to open in the coming months, with GCV 20 and GCV 22 estimated to open in August and other TCV/DCV zones rolling out through September and October. He also noted a six-month extension granted by DHCD to ensure completion of long-drive connections and described continued heavy construction in multiple DCV zones.
