During the public comment portion of the consolidated conditional-use hearing on June 24, Rikki McLaren (online) told the Board she was concerned about the practice of reusing conditions from prior approvals. McLaren said that while the Fry Drive conditions may apply, "that should not be something that we typically do" and warned of a "slippery slope" if developers rely on prior approvals rather than fresh reviews.
Chairman Carldon R. Machamer and the Board accepted McLaren’s comment for the record but proceeded to apply the same set of conditions and approve the two consolidated permits for the Dauphin Drive site. The transcript shows no additional speakers opposing the reuse of conditions; the Board voted 4-0 to carry the motion to approve.
