The City Council voted to authorize the mayor to execute a five-year professional services agreement with Precision Approach Engineering to provide airport consulting, planning and engineering assistance. Corley McFarland of Precision, joining the meeting by Zoom, described the contract as a master agreement that would govern subsequent task orders for specific airport projects.
"This is the terms and conditions that would govern follow-on task orders," McFarland said, and added the firm has been the city's airport engineer since 2020. Council members asked routine contract clarifications about subconsultants and the sample task-order exhibits; McFarland confirmed subconsultant work would be included in Precision's fee and the sample exhibit structure would be adapted to the scope of individual task orders. The council approved the authorization by motion and voice vote.
