Draft residential parking permit guidelines nearly complete; staff to publish before next meeting

Staff updated the board on the residential parking permit (RPP) program guidelines, saying the draft is nearly finished and will be provided to commissioners two weeks prior to the next meeting to allow review before discussion. "Our plan is to provide the full draft to the commissioners two weeks prior to the next meeting so everyone has adequate time to review," Brian said.

At that subsequent meeting staff will walk the board through the draft, and any agreed revisions would be incorporated into an updated draft. If the board supports it, staff said they would recommend moving the draft into the first 30‑day public comment period required by ordinance, followed by a second 30‑day comment period after revisions. Staff also agreed to publish a simple, public-facing summary of the steps in the process on the landing page and consider a short newsletter blurb so affected residents can track progress.
