Park Norwalk staff announced a planned temporary closure of the Haviland facility upper deck to allow waterproofing and restriping work. "As a reminder, the upper deck will be closed from August 3 through August 14," Brian (staff member) told the board, adding that the work cannot be safely completed while the deck is open.
Staff said the lower deck will remain in operation on a limited basis, permit holders will be cross-honored at the Maritime Garage and outreach teams have visited nearby businesses to explain alternate parking options. Rocky (staff) told the board nearly half of permit holders have collected Maritime Garage access cards to prepare for the closure.
