Board update: structural repairs for Yankee Doodle Garage move into contracting

Park Norwalk staff told the board the structural repairs and protection work for Yankee Doodle Garage are separate from the recently completed aesthetic enhancements and are now in the contracting phase. "Since the board's approval, the project has passed the city council, and we are now in the contracting phase with Frank Capaso and Son," Brian said.
Staff said preconstruction coordination is ongoing and recommended a construction start in "early spring of '27" to align with appropriate construction windows. The board was informed staff will advance contract documents and keep commissioners updated as the schedule and mobilization progress.
