Park Norwalk staff reported the Yankee Doodle Garage painting phase is finished and staff are scheduling a final walkthrough with the contractor to formally close out the project. "All level identifiers and punch list items have been finished," Brian (staff member) said, and staff described the stenciling and floor work as significantly improving wayfinding.
Staff also said they are planning a ribbon-cutting to mark the reopening. "We're continuing to coordinate a ribbon cutting event to formally reopen the garage," Brian said, adding he expects more information "within next week or two" to finalize a date and boost participation. The board did not take formal action on the event at the meeting.
