At its July 14 meeting the Glendive City Council approved several routine new-business items and authorized payment of accounts payable for two fiscal years.
The council granted an alcohol waiver for the Lucky Store Casino for Aug. 8, 2026, after a motion and second; members voted in favor by voice. The council also approved a request from the Museum of the Rockies to cross city property for a limited purpose; the committee noted the letter specified permission to cross city property only and not to collect fossils.
Council approved Dashmont LLC's lot-aggregation plat request, which reduces four tracts of record to two and incorporates the vacated portion of California Street into the aggregate parcel. The motion carried by voice vote.
On finance items, the mayor moved to pay accounts-payable claims of $168,415.66 for FY2026; the council approved the motion. The council then approved accounts-payable claims for FY2027 listed in the packet at $261,353.58 (the clerk read some follow-up figures aloud during discussion).
