"It's gonna be 3 months before it gets to the upfitter, and they would like to know if they can get paid for the cabin chassis now so they're not sitting on it," said the highway representative (S7). Commissioners discussed paying the dealer now and then paying the upfitter when the work is complete. The board also reviewed stone stockpiles and budgets, noting the county has used more stone earlier in the season and that restricted and nonrestricted funds need careful tracking.
Separately, staff and commissioners discussed storm-related washouts and the difficulty of documenting damage for FEMA claims; they noted the importance of recording how much extra stone was used and keeping receipts so claims can be substantiated. No formal vote on the truck payment timing was recorded; commissioners agreed to proceed with invoicing and bring invoices to the next meeting if needed.
