Development Services presented inspection photos and notes for 410 Elx Drive showing missing doors, collapsed ceilings, unsanitary conditions and evidence of people living on-site despite disconnected water and power. Crystal Town described the hazards to first responders and noted the property is within walking corridors used by children in the area.
Officer Brandon Guillén told the committee he observed 10–13 people living in the house at times and that repeated offers of social services had been declined. The committee moved to declare the property a public nuisance and ordered demolition within 30 days, evacuation, securing of the property, removal of debris and disconnection of utilities; the motion passed 7-0. Staff will issue the order and coordinate enforcement and any necessary social-services outreach.
