After discussion, Council member John Solís moved that the property be declared a public nuisance and demolished within 30 days; Ivonne Arison seconded and the council added an amendment to ensure public utilities are shut off. The motion passed 7-0. The order directs staff to secure the site and prohibits re-occupancy pending compliance or appeal.
