The Morrison County Planning Commission took formal action on three agenda items on July 21: it recommended approval of two interim use permits to install 198‑foot meteorological towers for Swift Current Energy (each recommendation includes a condition that the permit terminate four years from issuance), and it recommended approval of a conditional use permit for a tier‑3 swine feedlot (720 animal units) with conditions requiring a 50‑foot grass buffer around the barn and coordination with the township on driveway access.
All three recommendations were unanimous. The commission also approved minutes from its July 7 meeting and adjourned at 7:23 p.m. Each planning commission recommendation will be forwarded to the Morrison County Board of Commissioners for final action at its July 28, 2026 meeting.
