The district's facilities update, delivered by Williams during the July 20 meeting, outlined completed projects and upcoming work ahead of the 2026—27 school year.
"Middle school walls have been scraped and repainted... Two sets of double doors have been replaced and painted," Williams reported, listing gym drywall repairs, concession-stand plumbing repairs, irrigation system issues after a power outage, and plans for sidewalk and parking-lot crack sealing and striping. He said some landscaping work may not be completed before school starts and that the facilities team is seeking quotes to manage costs.
Board members thanked custodial and maintenance staff for their summer work and discussed sequencing and budget options for remaining projects. The facilities office will prioritize critical safety items (parking lot striping, sidewalks) before reopening.
