Council approves minutes, consent agenda and multiple appointments

The council completed routine business Tuesday, approving minutes, a consent agenda and multiple citizen appointments to city boards and committees.
A motion to approve the June 29 work-session minutes was moved (speaker 4) and carried with a 4-0 vote and one abstention from Rob Wu. The July 6 regular-meeting minutes were approved with a 3-0 tally and two abstentions recorded for council members Henderson and Wu. The four-item consent agenda passed 5-0 by voice vote.
Council also approved appointments to several advisory bodies. Appointments recorded included Danny Chavez to the Economic & Business Development committee (three-year term); William Burke to Environmental Affairs (two-year term); Daniel LaMagna to the Police Advisory Committee (two-year term); Robin Ritter to the Senior Advisory Committee (two-year term); and Thomas Shenauer to the Ethics Commission for a three-year term. Council thanked appointees and encouraged residents to apply to boards and commissions via the city's website.
