Keene High teacher urges tighter guardrails on district AI policy

Lawrence noted international shifts in school AI policy, citing Norway's recent near ban on AI in elementary schools, and urged the committee to distinguish between age-appropriate uses at elementary and high-school levels. Committee members acknowledged the concerns and said they plan to route the draft to a working group with staff, technology and education stakeholders for further development. The committee also discussed teacher training and practical implementation hurdles, including how to integrate district platforms while limiting external tools.
